Thanks for visiting my blog, hope you enjoy my journey around America as much as I am hoping to 🥰

My journey starts in Spain ….

The day started as expected, alarm went off at 6.30, followed by a shower, quick look round to check I have everything packed, and that I have left the flat clean for my sister’s visit next month. 

Ok I’ve left the flat, backpack on, laptop in hand and the last of the rubbish to get rid of before setting off for airport. Yay! Go me! ALL GOOD SO FAR 🎉🎉🎉

And then imagine my surprise, no taxis in the rank 😱 there are always taxis what is happening!?

Ok ok don’t panic, I can get the bus, there I am congratulating myself for planning in extra time for “just in case” aannnddd the bus looks near capacity and the stop has a lot of people.  Luckily I got the last spot on the bus. Yay

At the airport Walking in to departures I find my booking desk is at the other end of the airport (yay that’ll count towards my steps at least) What is this I see?? there is No Queue !!! how is this possible 😱😂 I start walking up to the line to hear… “Excuse me sir, desk 33 please, desk 33 sir”, so I turn round as the person is speaking behind me and I want to get out of the guy’s way, to which the lady speaking goes bright red in the face and says “oh I’m so sorry, I mean madam, desk 33 madam”. OMG! I really did laugh out loud with that. First time since I was 12 I was mistaken for a male. To give a pass to her, she was stood behind me, I’m carrying a man’s 701 osprey charcoal backpack, and I’m wearing a hat so you can’t see my hair or any curves 😂😂😂. America here I come

First train Lynne (my friend) has dropped me at Newport station, it’s going to be a bit of a wait as I’m here at 9:20am and the train isn’t till 11:33 😂 The heavens have decided to open this morning so I’ve put on my “I blame my sister” top, had quite a few comments on it already 😂 Wondering what today’s travels will bring and looking forward to them 🎉🎉🎉 On the train OMG!!!! What the hell am I like. I AM TAKING A 4 month break because I NEEEDDDD it.  And here I am sat next to some guy typing on his lap top. I can see a spreadsheet and the emails that he’s flicking between and my brain is trying to get a peak at the spreadsheet to see if I can work out what he’s trying to do  🤦🏼‍♀️ Wtf is wrong with me  🥺😳🤷🏼‍♀️😱 I’m free and clear of having to look at spreadsheets, systems, fórmulas etc for months.
