America here I come

First train

Lynne (my friend) has dropped me at Newport station, it’s going to be a bit of a wait as I’m here at 9:20am and the train isn’t till 11:33 😂

The heavens have decided to open this morning so I’ve put on my “I blame my sister” top, had quite a few comments on it already 😂

Wondering what today’s travels will bring and looking forward to them 🎉🎉🎉

On the train

OMG!!!!

What the hell am I like. I AM TAKING A 4 month break because I NEEEDDDD it. 

And here I am sat next to some guy typing on his lap top. I can see a spreadsheet and the emails that he’s flicking between and my brain is trying to get a peak at the spreadsheet to see if I can work out what he’s trying to do 🤦🏼‍♀️

Wtf is wrong with me 🥺😳🤷🏼‍♀️😱

I’m free and clear of having to look at spreadsheets, systems, fórmulas etc for months. I need to really step back so that I can really relax this holiday. 

On a better note, getting on to the train was easy enough. Had a bit of a problem getting into my seat. Not because anyone was in it or people were causing issues, but I got to my seat and a couple came up and stood directly behind me, one on each side and one of them squeezing past when I leant forward to put my phone on the table …

And stood there discussing where they were going to sit for 5 mins before deciding not to sit where they were stood. 

The guy at the table they were debating sitting at was killing himself laughing 😂. It was amusing. Me with this great big backpack on ½ bent over a table without being able to move or I would have knocked over the couple behind me 🤣🤣🤣🤭

When they finally moved off a lovely gentleman, sat at my table, was eager to help me store my bag. Now who am I am to say no to a good looking, tall man, who has a great smile asking me if he can please help me. Yeah so not happening 😂😂😂

So my bag is now stored in the overhead rack and I’m hoping he’ll still be on the train when I get off in Paddington to help get it down 🤭

Ok enough gassing for this first train I hope. 

Hotel

Got to the Raddison Blue hotel at Stansted with no problem. Check in was easy, more comments on my top (🎉🎉🎉)

Had a quick G&T at the bar before heading to bed. Need to get up early for flight, can’t wait. Woo hoo America here I come !!!
